So sleepy, don't know why I'm writing this...ah well, I won't be staying up too much longer, gotta get my rest you know. As one can see, the song of the moment is Mr. Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence", easily heard off of the Pure Moods III CD. Reminds me of days of sitting in Yuri's bedroom, listening to the CD that I brought her...happy days, those. Not that these are especially bad, but they're not especially good either. Things ARE looking up, however, after the ungodly black hole of stress that was last week: my health is somewhat better (e.g. I'm not violently ill all the time), I'm catching up on my schoolwork, and I'll be registering for class for next quarter, which looks like fun. My tentative lineup is thus follows: The Geography of Childhood, History of the Near East, Japan Today, and Fast Fitness. Yes, it's totally cool, the Japan Today class is going to occur for the first time and I'm digging on anything that will make my JET application look shinier, giving I'm sort of hinging most things on it. I do have a backup plan, of course-just make a beeline to grad school sooner than I expected, that's all. Still, I think this will make me happy, so I'm on it. I think it'll be fun. The only complications I foresee are that that's only 14 credits (I generally carry 17-19, relatively heavy but I'm also graduating early) and the possibility that I may have to take Precalculus II...still, it all fits so well and such a schedule would not begin until 10:00 AM (every single quarter in my collegiate career has started at 9:00 AM thus far) so I hope so...then again, being a sophomore I can't even register until next week so hopefully the pickings won't be too slim after the upperclassmen get done choosing...

You know, Pierrot's "ICAROSS" is a really good song too, particularly if one understands the lyrical content. Speaking of music, I've been listening to...weird stuff recently. Weird stuff for me anyway, with such qualities titles as "Baby Got Back", "Dominated Love Slave", and others...this is, of course, excluding my Wesley Willis collection. Because of this, I have now decided that I must perform "Baby Got Back" at my next karaoke opportunity. Glorious. Of course, I'll be certain to sing "Wadatsumi no Ki" right after it.

In the magical world of gaming have been hearing some interesting murmurs, such as that Dark Cloud 2 is actually a good game...I never played the first one (though everything I've heard labels it outstandingly average), but this intrigues me...perhaps during the summer I'll play it, yes? Heck, I'm getting Xenosaga in a week and Final Fantasy Origins not overly long after that and I don't have time to play either. We'll see.

Recently my sleep patterns have confused me. Last night I thought I heard my alarm and naturally leapt out of bed, hurrying to the kitchen to shovel down some breakfast in the form of ridiculously tasty Yoplait Harvest Peach yoghurt, the gazing at the microwave that read 3:59. I pushed the clear button to make certain that I just hadn't stopped the microwave in an earlier cycle, then checked back in my room on my radio clock-yep, 4:00 AM. So, demonstrating the logic I'm famed for, I somehow managed to turn off my timer/alarm and flop back into bed, to awaken at 8:30 and somehow manage to scramble off to class barely in time. I *HATE* it when that happens...I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't occur with such frequency, but...I wish my sleep-stupor self didn't do such things...

New evil of the day: topographic maps. Thanks to geology, I am developing an excessively healthy hatred of topographic maps..yar. I'm sure it has everything to do with the fact that I have atrocious spatial perception and an intrinsic aversion to numbers and such things...I can't wait until it's over, this evening's torture dealt with the lava dome of Mt. St. Helens...hopefully tomorrow's lab will be considerably lower on the "Pure Evil" scale.

I think I've decided what I'm going to do this summer. It consists of a number of activities, including A) summer school B) go to Texas C) go to Louisiana and visit my blessed hometown D) do geographic research paper on Panna Maria, TX E) work seriously on one of my stories. I'll be busy, but it's good to be productive, ya?

So the latest medical news is I get a bloodstream full of vaguely radioactive isotopes sometime soon in effort to determine whether or not I get the dubious pleasure of going under the knife...YAY. This test unfortunately involves the ever-pleasurable IV but at least there's no crazy sedation...

Ah well, it's finally time for sleep, long past in fact...perhaps a more coherent and meaningful entry will follow within the next few days, hmm? Good night all.
