NOTE: My diary is smoking crack. Please click on the "latest entry" thing to see the REAL entry and what the world now looks until I can lay some smackdown on this mother. Ciao. ~Sho. Music o' The Entry: "Gekka no Yasoukyoku" & "Bois de merveilles", Malice Mizer

Ha, sensei finally returned my remaining CD's back to me, thus "merveilles", (Malice Mizer) "ray", (L'Arc~en~Ciel), & my Every Little Thing CD are back in my possession. Actually, she was evil and just gave me back the case for ray, so I had to do some repossession smackdown kesa, yo. No, she actually likes L'Arc, which thrills me, though she found this particular CD a bit loud (there's a reason why I like it, ya know)...thus, I am currently bathing in the glory of "Gekka", which we all know owns me body and soul; seriously, that song rocks beyond measure, I wanna karaoke. Yes, I'm afraid "Kiseki no Umi" has been at least temporarily displaced by an old staple, but we ARE talking about Gackt here. Gackt and accordians, life can't get much better.

Sorry for the angstiness of last entry, I get into those moods sometimes. Actually, I seem to slip into them with disturbing frequency, but it's beside the point, ne? ほんまに。 Oh, I have potentially interesting/amusing news: I bought a new phone card. Yes, I finally ran out of minutes on the one I was using to supply Misha-chan with some native Engrish-speaking contact, thus a new one is order to call both Yuri on Sunday for her birthday, as well as to call Naoya. No, seriously, I plan to and WILL call Nao-kun. I think it'll be fine, since we didn't part on weird inconclusive terms, a la certain other folk...the only thing I'm worried about is that I've gotten cocky with Japanese speaking abilities and will fall flat on my face with this test. I haven't been in a situation where I've absolutely HAD to speak Japanese in a few months, thus I'm used to comfortably slipping in and out of Japanese and English, according to what/how I wish to say...can't do that with someone who doesn't speak English period, ne? Oh well, life will be good, I will gambatt, and I'm sure we'll have a delightful conversation that'll likely begin somewhat like this:

N: "...."

S: "...."

N: "...."

S: "Uh, moshi moshi?"

N: "...dare desu ka?"

S: "Anou, Shou desu."

N: "EEEE?!"

S: "Un, honma ni."

N: "DOUSHITAN?!"

S: "Nani mo nai!"

N: "Anou, doko ni imasu ka?"

S: "Atashi no ie, Amerika de, mochiron."

N: "Heeee?"

Yes, I can almost guarantee it'll sound quite similar to that, if not to the letter, but it'll be fun. Once I get the little otaku to loosen up, it should be grand. If it does go well, I'll likely get even more overconfident and do something monumentally stupid, such as calling Soba, but I'm determined NOT to do that. But you know what?? We're not going to talk about Soba anymore. Next paragraph! (don't you just revel in the smooth flow of these entries?)

Alright, since it IS Thanksgiving, I suppose I should do a little blurb on what I'm thankful for. Yes, there ARE things I'm thankful for, despite how much I bitch and whine about everything. I shall list some of them for you:

-having all my limbs intact

-not having any terminal illness

-never having to worry about my immediate needs (food, shelter, etc)

-my friends

-my surviving pets

-music. Truly, I don't know how I could live without it.

-being able to have gone to Japan

-to have known Soba (sorry, I had to say it)

-beauty

-my relative freedom

Yes, there are many more, but those are a just a few. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with Thanksgiving and Christmas both, the whole "spirit of giving/thankfulness/good will towards man" thing. You bastards, it doesn't just apply once a year. Thus, the "season" encourages me to be more bitter and cynical than usual. Isn't that special? Seriously, I find it sickening, as well as how Christmas keeps getting pushed forward earlier and earlier...a number of people on my block already have their Christmas lights on, they haven't even the decency to wait for Thanksgiving to pass, the freaks. Plus Christmas lights are an unholy waste of electricity to begin with; gods, people in this state complain incessantly about California and energy, they should take a long hard look at themselves first. Yes, they're pretty, but I think other things are far more important, such as energy conservation. Oh well, just goes to show you how very willing people are to alter their lifestyles to change something.

School was rather boring and odd today, since a huge number of classes were either cancelled or everyone else just skipped. I was quite amused by one of the presentations given in my Japanese 201 class though. After each of us completes our presentation on our family, than everyone else is allowed to ask questions. Naturally this leads to idiotic abuses of it, since my class seems to have a profusion of morons (any language in the hands of those unwieldy with it is a terrifying thing indeed), leading them to ask stupid questions. One I got was "Why do you speak Japanese so fast?" "Uh, wakarahen." I wasn't aware I did, I just know that I suck. But that's beside the point. Anyway, this one guy went today, and one of his questions was "Do you like this city?" He replied with the finest response to be found the world over: "Iie, chiisai shithole desu." Seriously, it was awesome, I was howling. I'm not certain if sensei got it, she looked slightly confused, but it was all good.

Oy, bad news-I think I'm going to be sick, since Koshi is ill now and I partake of his espresso daily since I'm too cheap to get my own (besides, he drinks about 3 lattes a day)...il es no bueno. Speaking of Koshi, I actually have a lot more to write, but I'm so freaking so sleepy now I can't even write coherently (it could be much debated if I do to begin with, demo...), thus I'll retire. Besides, gotta awaken earlyish to drive over and pick up Satoko...anyways, happy Thanksgiving minna, sorry for the crappy entry yet again, and good night.
