Music o' the Entry: "Sons of the Sun", Mach 25
Alright folks, I've some good news and some bad news. The good news is that graduation went okay (meaning I didn't fall over or some such), just what I expected and more (meaning boring as hell) and I dressed just as appropriately as I said I would for the occasion, which was grand. Following graduation, I went home and we had a wee celebration of sorts, featuring my mother, father, younger brother, grandmother, Matt, and lots of highly tasty stuffed-crust pizza (as far as I'm concerned, the more cheese the better, and I'm a big fan of the cheese in the crust). Following dinner, I was presented by my father with a PlayStation 2 and my very own copy of Final Fantasy X. Unfortunately, I also got to bring up the awful awful 13" television set from the sewing room (not awful due to size, awful because it's an ancient piece of crap that's probably older than I am) which rendered the game nigh-unplayable. Thusly, yesterday I paid a visit to our local Best Buy location and am now the proud of owner of 19" Samsung television set in which the picture doesn't slide off the screen and is actually decent, courtesy graduation monies. So yeah, that's part of the bad news: my blogging's probably going to get even less frequent thanks to the fact that Final Fantasy X thus far seems to be mind-bogglingly excellent and I'm dangerously addicted, which brings us to the second portion of Bad News: schoolwork. Yeah, I've been slightly neglectful (even pre-FFX) and I'm going to have to be working seriously overtime to get stuff done, yarg. But yes, anyway, remember that Grad Night graduation party that I was dreading attending? Well, I ended up going later than I thought (Matt and I embarked on a magical quest for PS2 memory cards and an RFU cable about 9:30 that evening, before I got decent television and was still using piece-of-shit television) and only stayed for an hour, which wasn't awful. Sure, I'd rather been home with Matt and/or FFX, but they had chocolate-dipped strawberries and bananas, which pleased me. I almost feel bad now, I was such an ass at the thing to the chaperones. Well, sort of, I just didn't feel like being bothered with the crap they were trying to give me, like the shirt and this little pack with stuff like a camera and whatnot so I tried to scurry away but they actually chased after me. Oh well, at least I avoided putting the senior t-shirt on, mostly because I was cold so I had my jacket zipped up to my throat. I always think I look ridiculous like that particularly because of my jacket pockets. You see, for some reason I'm violently opposed to carrying a purse (the closest I ever got to that was once to a dance and the carrying around of my Anti-Defamation League bag in Japan, because it was too hot to wear a backpack), guess I find it too girly to tolerate, so I've adapted-I keep an unbelievable amount of crap in my pockets that pretty much makes my coat a purse in its own right, if only in function. And indeed in function, because I'm one of those freaks who will, generally speaking, wear a coat year-round. While it's true that I get cold ridiculously easily, it's still silly...
But anyway, more later, suffice to say that FFX is sucking up my time. Later, and wish me luck!
