Sorry kids, another night of Sho working hard to finish up Winter Quarter (which ends on the 21st of March, if I'm not mistaken), this time in the form of an English research paper on the American two party system in particular regards to third parties. A topic of particular interest to me, but not one I'm really enjoying writing about, especially since my instructor hasn't yet e-mailed me back regarding something I didn't quite comprehend about the portion that's supposed to comprise the bulk of the paper, ye gods. So yeah, just floating about the Internet, doing research on foreign party systems...rather amusing, the American one is the first one I've encountered that is nearly exclusively two party. I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise a to a goodly number of you, but it did myself. In my Internetish travels this evening, I've ran into some odd stuff, briefly represented by the Israeli Communist party and...this, probably the most inflammatory and disturbing thing I've read in a very good while, given some of my proclivities...I don't even want to talk about this, it makes me so angry and fearful of the things that ignorance produces it's unreal (oh, by the way, that's from the Creators' Rights Party site, a Christian pro-life pro-creationism political party. Yes, it's just a frightening as it sounds. Lots of nasty pictures of aborted fetuses abound, adding to the sheer unpleasantness of it.)...
School was otherwise relatively decent, though I'm currently wanting to take an assault rifle to most of my class (METAPHORICALLY. Remember, I'm an angry iconoclastic high school student who wears black and listens to evil music, if you mock me I kill people) in astronomy...as much as I try, the sheer idiocy of my classmates can not be exaggerated. It's one of the saddest things I've witnessed, the professor is the chair of the physics department and it's easy to see that he's genuinely passionate about this topic...however, he gets stuck with a class of utter dipshits and pretty much everything he says is either ignored, talked over, or not understood by reason of stupidity. Seriously, he tries so hard but nothing works, and he's grudgingly forced to lower his standards yet again...yeah, this guy is definitely getting a fruit basket, courtesy myself and Matt. Yeah, today was just another confirmation of my class's stupidity...oh well, it'll be over soon enough. Actually, come to think of it, I have lots of idiots in my classes, second-year Japanese is awful for that. Or perhaps it's simply my misanthropy and intolerance for those I deem willfully ignorant, stupid by their own efforts, etc? More than likely. For such statements I'm sure I'll hear folk telling me to judge others as I'd like to be judged, but my own standards for myself are so screamingly high that if any deity exists I'd be surprised if it lived up to them...indeed, my standards that are the bane of my existence, why I constantly beat myself up for never ever being good enough. I'm always certain there was something I could've done to make things better, but it always eludes me...blarg.
Anyhow, I'll depart now to write more; next time I get to talk about the Radical Dreamers soundtrack (the Sattellaview game, not the Chrono Cross song), since Matt bequeathed it unto me today. Until next time...
