Music o' the Entry: "Ya Soshla s Uma", t.A.T.u.
NOTE: Because I occasionally like to do little tiny thought-type entries, I have made a ridiculous little Livejournal over here we can all regard as -bloodwing-: Lite Version!. Don't worry, this is still the main blog, but just a heads-up for anyone who cares.
Holy monkey I have had this song stuck in my head for well over a week now and all attempts to dislodge it have failed miserably. Misha mentioned Tatu to me a number of months ago and I just sort of put it to the wayside of my brain but now they're evidently on US radio and television, so...yeah. I'm not entirely sure I like their voices, but the song is catchy as can be and the subject matter naturally pleases me...strange, I prefer the Russian version more and Matt has challenged me into being able to sing it in Russian, so I'm on it! Still, here's a lyric sample: Vyklyuchaestsya svet. Good lord. Still, I have faith, Russian is relatively similar to Czech and Polish and I have some experience with both, I seem to be able to pronounce them decently if given examples. チェコ語がんばろう~...however, in regards to music where I am certain of the vocal quality, thanks to the suggestion of one Lauren I am now madly in love with Evanescence, despite that I have ridiculous difficulty in pronouncing their name (I usually settle for "effervescence", and yes, I do know the meaning both words)...the vocalist's voice is absolutely beautiful, and the entire CD is some delightful goth-fest, what I've been needing recently. There are NO happy songs on the CD; this is a good thing, by my standards, and it speaks volumes that I actually like the entire CD, as I'm notorious for buying CD's and listening to perhaps 3-5 tracks and disregarding the rest of it (which I don't mind). Anyway, check it out if you get the chance, it was one of those must-buy's for me (which I did for a sweet $12, yeeah).
Speaking of Evanescence I'll soon be plodding over to the media center to do my magical vocal recording. If anyone cares I'll try to post it somewhere, but only if I decide it's not too awful. Still, there are songs with my singing floating about the Net if you know where to look (and I ain't telling).
Anyway, I need to go sleep, and here is why. I come to dispense sage advice unto all of you: while it is possible to construct a quality term paper in 24 hours (research time included), if you one works straight through the entire time, it is far from recommended. That being said, it's bed-time for me given I did not sleep yesterday, and tomorrow will feature mathematics final exams and doing ungodly amounts geography labs, plus a happy paper on noctilucent clouds (which I at least am interested in). I do not mourn this quarter.
