Oh my lord. Anyone who accuses me of being anti-American need only click here to see why I so frequently voice my displeasure with the actions of this country. Some of you may remember from your high school American history textbooks during WWII when the US cleverly changed the name of sauerkraut to "liberty cabbage", and some of you may have thought, "Wow, that's unbelievably stupid AND ridiculous". Well kids, those halcyon days of yore are back in action now that French fries have acquired the magnificent moniker, "freedom fries". Freedom fries. Say it again. No matter how many times you say it, it sounds just as stupid. And why have French fries had their name changed? Because god forbid someone had the balls to not want to support an ill-conceived potential/probable military action that is in violation of so many things it makes my head hurt and so now we're going to throw a fucking tantrum, in the form of such classy protests like calling French fries "freedom fries". America, if you're out to impress anybody with this staggeringly pathetic and childish act, it's not working. It honestly embarrasses me to be associated with this government and this eye-stabbingly juvenile action. Trust me kids, this is NOT a good way to get allies on your side, and you'll reap what you sow. In the mean time, if anyone of you agree with me, don't be silent on this. Right now I'm trying to see if there are any groups doing a movement in regards to this steaming pile of idiocy, to try to coax the US government into not acting like a pile of fuckwits, but so far nothing has been encouraging. This country is getting more stupid by the day, and I am loathe to sit and watch it happen. Idiots.
